This policy explains what personal information Teacher Survival Skills collects about you, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions.
Teacher Survival Skills is run by Emily Frontain, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). We are the "data controller" for the information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

When you sign up for our free Implementation Guide or newsletter, The TSS Staffroom, we collect:
We only ask for what we need. You never have to give us more than your name and email to receive the guide.
Under UK data protection law we must have a valid reason ("lawful basis") for using your information:
We use a double opt-in process. After you sign up we send a confirmation email, and you only join the list once you click to confirm. If you do not confirm within seven days, your details are not added. This makes sure we only email people who genuinely want to hear from us.
We do not sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing. We do use a trusted service provider that processes information on our behalf and under our instructions: Mastermind, our email and customer-relationship platform, which stores your details and delivers our emails and pages. This provider may store or process information on servers outside the United Kingdom, and where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. We may also disclose information if we are required to by law.
We keep your information for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, we remove them, except that we keep a minimal record (your email on a suppression list) so that we can honour your choice and avoid contacting you again.
Our pages use cookies and similar technology. Some are essential to make the pages work. Others help us understand, in aggregate, how our pages are used. Lower-risk cookies such as basic analytics may be set with notice and the option to opt out; any advertising or tracking cookies are only set with your consent. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Under UK data protection law you also have the right to: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you; ask us to correct anything that is wrong; ask us to delete your information; ask us to restrict or object to how we use it; ask us to transfer it to another provider; and withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and if a request is unclear we may ask you to clarify it before we begin.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at [email protected] so we can try to put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and aim to resolve it within three months. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Our content is written for teachers and other education professionals, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top.
